You're not going to believe me, but I promise I'm not kidding.

It appears to be $kaycog . If she recommends a picture/post, it get's highlighted. Not sure if she's an admin or what, but that's the only difference I can find between pictures of mine that get bolded and ones that don't.

A mod can manually enlarge pictures (if they're over a certain size in original), with or without recommending a post. I believe a picture is also automatically enlarged if it has enough recommends from people, weighted by an algorithm.

In this case, $kay (who *is* a mod) was apparently being the photo enlargement fairy. Sometimes it's Gamecat, sometimes it's Party-VI.
